This week has been one of the most exciting weeks in a long time as I joined a talented group of developers and designers lead by Rhett Creighton from MIT. The project is a Bitcoin hard fork from Zclassic. When I joined the value of the coin was about $8 and it jumped to $130 ranking second after Ripple (XRP) on Bittrex.
My current job is to coordinate more than 30 people with the help of other talanted leaders to make this amazing project become a reality. There were many challenges such as setting up tools to keep everyone updated and coordinated. It a matter of 4 days we had several projects and tasks getting knocked out.
The power of open source and community driven projects is hard to explain. My estimate is that it would take at least $2 to $3 million dollars to run such a talented group of people but by making this open source and contributing we are able to make an amazing project out of thin air in a matter of days. I see this fork as big oportunity for everyone involved and I believe it will become a recognized player in the field. I'll write blogs about the projects as it moves fordward and see how far we can take it.
